Locality: Phosphate Mines, Moroccan Sahara
Age: Late Cretaceous – approx. 66–72 million years old
Grade: A–B Grade Specimens
These teeth come from mosasaurs, powerful marine reptiles that ruled the Late Cretaceous seas of North Africa. Mosasaurs were fast, shark-like predators with strong jaws and conical teeth designed for gripping slippery prey such as fish, ammonites, and smaller marine reptiles. Specimens from Morocco’s phosphate mines are among the most famous mosasaur fossils in the world, preserved in the ancient seabeds that once covered the Sahara.
A–B grade teeth show good preservation and natural detail, making them excellent collector pieces while still affordable.
